Aston Villa managed to wrap up a deal for Swansea City midfielder Tom Carroll in the final moments of the transfer window.

Oliver McBurnie has said that he is broken hearted about Tom Carroll’s move to Aston Villa from Swansea City.
Swansea loaned Carroll to Villa in the last minute of deadline day, with Dean Smith’s side having the option to make the move permanent at the end of the season.
And McBurnie is gutted that his former Swansea teammate has left to join Villa.
McBurnie, who has hit 13 goals in the Championship this season, saw a number of his teammates leave Swansea yesterday.
The Welsh club offloaded Carroll and Jefferson Montero in the final minutes of deadline day, while Wilfried Bony also departed.
Villa, meanwhile, strengthened considerably – as they brought in both Carroll and Tyrone Mings.
Mings and Carroll should bolster Smith’s options for the remainder of the season, as the claret and blues aim to seek promotion.
Villa are currently in 10th place in the Championship table, four points away from the play off spaces.
