West Ham United have allegedly made an enquiry for the Chelsea striker.

West Ham have enquired about the possibility of signing Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud, according to a report from the Daily Mail, and some Hammers fans took to Twitter in reaction to the speculation.

The 32-year-old joined the Blues from Arsenal last January, but he has struggled for regular first-team action at Stamford Bridge, making just 12 Premier League starts.

West Ham are crying out for someone like Giroud, however.

Javier Hernandez continues to be linked with a move away from the London Stadium, whilst Andy Carroll cannot be relied upon from a fitness perspective.

And with Marko Arnautovic likely to be out for the remainder of the campaign, the Chelsea hitman could be just the ticket for the Hammers.

He is arguably the best striker in the Premier League with his back to goal, and his ability to hold up the ball would help bring out the best in West Ham’s more creative players.
