Wolverhampton Wanderers picked up another hugely impressive win on Tuesday.

It now appears almost baffling to Wolves fans that Leander Dendoncker had to wait until December to make his Premier League debut for Nuno Espirito Santo’s men, with many lauding his performance in their 3-0 win against West Ham on Tuesday.

Wolves brushed their opponents aside at Molineux. BBC Sport reports that the home side had 20 attempts compared to West Ham’s four, and put nine on target – which is nine more than their opponents managed.

Despite their dominance, Nuno’s side did not break the deadlock until after the hour mark when Romain Saiss headed home a Joao Moutinho corner. Raul Jimenez would then add a late brace to make the points safe and send Wolves up to seventh.

There were superb performances all over the park. But perhaps Dendoncker’s display was one of the most significant given how long it has taken the midfielder to force his way into the picture following his summer move.

The 23-year-old was making only his fifth Premier League appearance of the season on Tuesday, but plenty of Wolves fans are now convinced that he must not be left out of the team again.

Several suggested that he is absolutely vital to the balance of the team. It certainly says a lot about his form when he is standing out when involved in a midfield that also includes Riben Neves and Moutinho.
