It did not escape the attention of fans on social media that both Oli McBurnie and Barrie McKay decided to not take part in their side's huddle at the weekend due to their Rangers connections.
As reported by The Scottish Sun, McBurnie is a Gers supporter. And of course, McKay spent around six years on the books at Ibrox before leaving for the Championship.
The pair are now playing alongside each other at Swansea City, but showed their allegiances to Rangers by deciding against taking a full part in the huddle before the Swans' FA Cup tie with Gillingham at the weekend.
The huddle is synonymous with Celtic's pre-match routine, hence why the pair decided not to put their arms around their teammates. But while there has been some praise from Rangers supporters, plenty of Celtic fans have either mocked the players or admitted that they are baffled.
Some of the Parkhead faithful find it funny that the pair are thinking about Celtic ahead of the game, while others have been critical.
And some fans have jokingly suggested that McKay and McBurnie cannot stop there if they want to avoid doing anything that may lead to an association with Celtic.
Unsurprisingly, the image has divided the Old Firm.
And here is how some of the Celtic fans reacted to the image...

Wow what a great idea, now they can refuse to play football because Celtic plays football as well— CatalanCeltCulé (@FsZimbabwe) January 28, 2019
Wow. Does that mean they will refuse to lift trophies because Celtic win trophies? ♂️— Gary Graham (@ggazgg) January 28, 2019
