Pundit Tony Cascarino has criticised Newcastle United striker Joselu after another disappointing performance.

He rounded on Joselu’s lack of mobility, pointing out that it is costing Newcastle.

The Spaniard started for Newcastle in the FA Cup against Watford as they lost 2-0.

Cascarino told The Times: “Joselu is the least mobile centre forward in the country and just highlights how little depth this Newcastle United squad has.

“He is like me when I was 37 or 38.”

Joselu throws a snowball at the camera during the Newcastle United Training session at the Newcastle United Training Centre on January 17, 2019 in Newcastle upon Tyne, England.

Joselu did score in the previous round in the replay against Blackburn, but that was his first goal since August.

He entered the season under fire, before beginning with two goals in his first three games. He has just the one goal since.

Joselu is clearly limited, but it’s tough to point too much blame on him. Responsibility lies with the Newcastle board for not giving the club better options.
