Juventus’s Serie A starlet Rogerio could be on his way to the Premier League with Newcastle United linked.

Newcastle United have thrown themselves into the mix to sign Juventus left-back Rogerio after their deal for Jordan Lukaku collapsed over the weekend, according to the Mirror (28 January, page 45).
It is no secret that the Magpies are hoping to sign a left-sided defender before Thursday’s transfer deadline and they had agreed to sign Belgium international Lukaku on loan from Lazio last week.
But, according to Sky Sports, the 24-year-old’s proposed move to St James’ Park fell apart on medical grounds.
And the Mirror is reporting that Newcastle have now turned their attention to 20-year-old Rogerio, who has shone on loan at Sassuolo from Serie A champions Juve this season.
A highly-rated and attack-minded Brazilian, the report claims that Newcastle will face competition from Premier League rivals Southampton and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Newcastle would have to pay big with Rogerio understood to be valued at £12million.
But maybe Mike Ashley could be persuaded to invest by the prospect of a future profit on a player who appears to have the world at his feet.
