Sheffield Wednesday want an eight-figure sum for Fernando Forestieri, according to reports.

According to a report from The Sun on Sunday (27/1; page 63), Sheffield Wednesday could decide to sell Fernando Forestieri this month, but the Owls want £14 million for the forward.
Forestieri has not enjoyed the easiest season at Hillsborough. The 29-year-old has scored three goals in 13 appearances and has not featured since early December due to a hamstring injury.
The Daily Mail reports that he could feature against Chelsea in the FA Cup on Sunday however, and that may perhaps help Wednesday as they seemingly consider moving the former Watford man on in the final days of the January window.
The Sun on Sunday (27/1; page 63) reports that Forestieri could be sold amid concerns over their Financial Fair Play situation, but the Owls would be looking for £14 million before allowing a deal to take place.

On his day, Forestieri can look like one of the best players in the Championship. He scored 27 league goals across his first two years with Wednesday, and played a vital role in the side that came agonisingly close to securing promotion to the Premier League.
However, he has made just 22 league appearances since the start of last season, so perhaps his club should not be overly surprised if they do not receive a bid that meets their reported asking price during the final days of the window.
