Birmingham City youngster Romello Mitchell is reportedly on the radar of Manchester United and Liverpool.

According to The Daily Mail, Liverpool and Manchester United are interested in signing Birmingham City youngster Romello Mitchell.

The youngster was in action for the Birmingham Under-18 side in the 2-1 defeat to their Sheffield Wednesday counterparts.

The teenage striker scored for the Blues in front of watching scouts, according to the report, which has also claimed that Premier League duo Liverpool and United are among the clubs monitoring him.

Promising talent

Mitchell is just 16 years of age and is a hugely talented striker who can have a massive future.

One can understand why Liverpool and United are reportedly interested in the youngster.

A move to Liverpool or United does make sense, but the 16-year-old will have to work extremely hard in order to break into the Reds or the Red Devils’ first team in the coming years.

This season

Meanwhile, while Liverpool are aiming to win the Premier League title this season, United are challenging for a place in the top four.

As for Birmingham, they can still end up in the top six of the Championship this season.
