Would like to express how much of an honour it was to break through into senior football at such a special club, that is Sunderland AFC. I had many blessed moments during my time at Sunderland. Wishing everyone involved with the club all the best in the future. @SunderlandAFC pic.twitter.com/6mo5lnLW4a— Josh Maja (@joshmaja) January 26, 2019

Maja was one of the best players for Sunderland this season, and the Black Cats need to replace the youngster.
Wigan manager Paul Cook has told Sky Sports that the Black Cats have made four bids, and that all of those offers have been turned down by the Championship.
Cook told Sky Sports: "I think Sunderland have made four bids for Will, but the fact we've rebuffed four bids, you can clearly see our intent is not to sell players.
“Unfortunately, everybody is expecting them to come back, but we want to strengthen and keep our better players."
They are keeping some of it as we owe then money for July. It won't affect are ability to do deals over the next few days. Just means we have fewer legacy payments to make in July now but we did have those covered anyway.— stewart donald (@stewartdonald3) January 26, 2019
