Newcastle United have lost to Watford in the FA Cup.

Micky Quinn has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to Newcastle United’s defeat to Premier League rivals Watford in the FA Cup.

Newcastle have suffered a 2-0 loss at the hands of the Hornets at St. James’ Park in the fourth round of the FA Cup.

After a goalless first half, Andre Gray put the visiting team in the lead after 61 minutes, and Isaac Success doubled the advantage on 90 minutes.

 

Former Newcastle centre-forward Quinn was following the match, and he has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to the defeat for Rafael Benitez’s side, and so has ex-Sunderland midfielder Don Hutchison.

Over the course of the 90 minutes at St. James’ Park on Saturday afternoon, hosts Newcastle had 47% of the possession, took five shots of which one was on target, and earned five corners, according to BBC Sport.

Visitors Watford had 53% of the possession, took seven shots of which three were on target, and earned two corners, according to BBC Sport.

The loss to Watford will have come as a bitter disappointment to the Newcastle fans.
