Newcastle United are said to be set to loan Jacob Murphy to West Bromwich Albion until the end of the season.

Jacob Murphy of Newcastle United looks on during the Pre-season friendly match between FC Porto and Newcastle at Estadio do Dragao on July 28, 2018 in Porto, Portugal.

West Bromwich Albion fans generally appear keen on seeing Jacob Murphy brought in from Newcastle United.

The Telegraph suggest that West Brom are now very close to bringing in Murphy on a loan deal until the end of the season.

And Baggies supporters feel that the wide man could be a good addition to Darren Moore’s squad.

Murphy has been starved of regular action at Newcastle, with Rafael Benitez generally preferring other options.

However, the 23-year-old has previously been a real weapon at Championship level.

Murphy was a major threat threat at Norwich City in his younger days, and if West Brom can get him back to his best, he could be a threat.

West Brom have been looking for a new winger after losing Harvey Barnes, following his recall to Leicester City.

Murphy’s Baggies debut could come in two weekends’ time, when they take on Middlesbrough at the Hawthorns.
