Leeds United-owned youngster Conor Shaughnessy endured a disappointing night.

A number of Hearts and Leeds fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Conor Shaughnessy’s Scottish Premiership debut for Craig Levein’s side – which included a costly error on a disappointing night at Tynecastle.
Shaughnessy – who left Elland Road to join Hearts on loan for the rest of the season – left the supporters hugely impressed with his debut performance in the Scottish Cup at the weekend.
However, his league bow did not go to plan as Dundee moved themselves off the bottom of the table with a surprise 2-1 win, with the winning goal coming shortly after the hour-mark.
Shaughnessy slipped when looking to deal with a ball down the line, and that allowed the visitors to go on and find the back of the net, to leave Hearts sixth in the table on 36 points from 22 games.

Unfortunately for the youngster, he has come in for a lot of criticism from both Hearts and Leeds fans. Some Hearts supporters already seem to be writing the defender off, with some unconvinced that he is an adequate replacement for Jimmy Dunne, who spent the first-half of the season at the club.
And some of the Leeds fans feel that the error vindicates the Championship leaders’ decision to loan him out earlier in the window.

Marcelo Bielsa has barely used the 22-year-old this season despite the Whites suffering a number of defensive injuries. And he has now given himself plenty to prove during the remaining months of his loan spell after not getting off to the best start.
Here is how some of the Hearts and Leeds fans reacted to Shaughnessy’s error…
