Biffy Clyro, George Ezra and Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds will headline the weekend.

Isle of Wight Festival is back for 2019 with an incredible new line up. Last year the festival celebrated its 50th anniversary with Kasabian, Depeche Mode and The Killers headlining; certainly, a bill to beat. Liam Gallagher, The Script and a wealth of other acts appeared across the weekend too. Now, this year’s line up is attempting to do one better.

The organisers have unveiled the first line up announcement this morning, and there’s a lot to love. Without further delay, here it is:

They’re certainly strong headliners – admittedly not as strong as last year’s – and Biffy Clyro closing on Sunday is sure to be a spectacle. There are other highlights across the weekend also, such as Fatboy Slim, Courteeners, Madness, Lily Allen, James, Idles, Miles Kane, Mystery Jets and more.

The festival has a history of bringing great sets to the thousands and has boasted past legendary performances from David Bowie, The Who, R.E.M., The Prodigy, Jay-Z and The Rolling Stones. It’s difficult to measure up to that every year, certainly.
