Burnley are interested in signing Tottenham hitman Vincent Janssen, according to a report from the Daily Mail, and some Spurs fans took to Twitter in response to the speculation.

The 24-year-old joined Tottenham from AZ Alkmaar in the summer of 2016, for a fee believed to be worth in the region of £17 million, but he has desperately failed to establish himself in north London, scoring just six goals for the club.

Janssen, who currently earns £34,000 per week according to Spotrac, does have potential - his goal record in Holland proves that, but it seems as though he is just not cut out for the frenetic pace and intensity of the Premier League.

Tottenham currently have Harry Kane out injured, and the Dutchman still hasn't got a look-in, so that really tells you all you need to know about his chances of a future in north London.
