Tottenham reportedly want Barcelona’s Malcom.

Barcelona attacker Malcom has told Sport he is happy at the club amid interest from Tottenham Hotspur.

Sport claimed days earlier that Malcom was ‘very likely’ to end up joining Tottenham before the transfer window closed.

The two teams were claimed to be negotiating over a loan deal.

No progress has since been made, and Malcom continues to insist he is happy in Spain.

Malcom told Sport: “Being in Barça is very difficult, because all players have a lot of quality, in fact, here are the best, you have to be patient and take advantage of every second you can play.

“You have to enjoy having the best, all I think about is winning all the titles.”

Rather than shying away from the challenge, Malcom is embracing his first season at Barcelona and suggests he wishes to stay on and fight.

The ball is firmly in Tottenham’s court to force the issue and persuade the Brazilian he should play and fight for success, rather than coast and pick up medals by staying at the Nou Camp.

Barcelona paid Bordeaux a fee of £37.3 million last summer, SkySports reported.
