Manchester United are said to have joined Southampton, Crystal Palace and several others in pursuit of the Leeds United winger.

Manchester United are the latest club to show interest in Jack Clarke, after Leeds United rejected offers for the winger from Southampton and Crystal Palace, according to the Sun.

Academy product Clarke made his debut for Leeds earlier in the campaign and has since become a regular in Marcelo Bielsa’s first-team plans.

And the Sun reports that while the Whites could bank £12 million by selling Clarke this month, the teenager’s family want him to remain at Elland Road – and would be ‘heartbroken’ if the Championship leaders were to gain promotion without him.

Clarke would arguably stand a greater chance of playing regular football at either Southampton or Crystal Palace – whose offers are not disclosed by the newspaper – than he would at Manchester United, Manchester City or Tottenham Hotspur, each of whom are credited with interest within the linked article.

However, the prospect of playing for his beloved Whites in next season’s Premier League may be enough to keep him in Yorkshire even if bid is accepted before next week’s transfer deadline.

Could Manchester United / Southampton / Crystal Palace snare Clarke from Leeds United this month?
