Capcom has teased post-launch DLC for the Resident Evil 2 remake, as well as rejected the idea of including co-op mode.

To make us even more excited for the Resident Evil 2 Remake, Capcom has teased they might add post-launch DLC, as well as ruled out the possibility of implementing a co-op mode.

In an interview with SaudiGamer (thanks, Comicbook), Director Kazaunori Kadoi and Producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi revealed that they and the team are ‘discussing’ possible DLC:

“With this title, we have some time. Currently I and Kazanunori Kadoi are discussing the possibility of providing additional content to the fans after launch,” said Hirabayashi.

As well as discussing post-launch content, SaudiGamer also asked whether co-op will be added to the experience. For those who like being alone and without the safety blanket of holding a mate’s hand, Hirabayashi revealed co-op will not be implemented as Capcom want to respect the feel of the original game as much as possible.

The Resident Evil 2 Remake launches January 25 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Capcom hasn’t confirmed if their next Resident Evil game will be original or another remake, but rumours suggest Resident Evil 3: Nemesis is already planned and in development.

If you cannot wait three more days to explore the land of the dead as Leon, then you can play Capcom’s stingy demo as many times as you want with this unbelievably easy trick.
