A rumoured Sheffield Wednesday transfer target could join Wigan Athletic instead.

A player recently linked with a January transfer to Sheffield Wednesday could be heading, instead, to one of the Owls’ Championship rivals.
According to this week’s Sun on Sunday (page 63), Wigan Athletic have turned to Alexander Milosevic after failing with bids for Danny Fox and Tyler Blackett of Nottingham Forest and Reading, respectively.
The newspaper claims the Latics manager, Paul Cook, has asked Milosevic to come in for a few days with a view to discussing a free transfer move to the DW Stadium – and adds that the player is keen on the idea.
It come less than a month after Fotboll Direkt reported that Sheffield Wednesday – who beat Wigan 1-0 at Hillsborough over the weekend – had offered a contract to the unemployed former AIK centre-back.
But there has been little since then to suggest that a deal with the Owls is indeed on the cards.
Milosevic was previously linked with a move to Sunderland while Steve Bruce, the former Wigan manager due to take the reins at Sheffield Wednesday next week, was in charge.

Is Milosevic a player that Sheffield Wednesday should be pursuing?
