According to a report by Teamtalk, Bristol City are seeking a £2 million fee for Antoine Semenyo with the winger attracting interest from Premier League giants Manchester United and Chelsea.
The 19-year-old winger moved to Ashton Gate in 2017 and went on to make his senior debut for the club on the final day of the Championship campaign last May.
Semenyo is currently on loan at Newport County in League Two, scoring six goals and grabbing a further two assists in 30 appearances in all competitions this season.
While City would no doubt prefer to hold on the talented youngster, his contract runs out at the end of the season and they may seek a fee for him now rather than potentially risk losing him for nothing in the summer.
United and Chelsea have seemingly been impressed by Semenyo’s progression, and Teamtalk claim the Blues are ready to make an offer for him as they look to steal a march on their top-four rivals.
Any fee Bristol City receive now could help them in their bid for promotion, with the Robins on an excellent four-game winning run which has put them within two points of the playoffs.
Manager Lee Johnson may be hoping to improve his squad this month. With just 35 league goals scored, they are the second lowest scorers in the Championship’s top half and that could be an area to strengthen.
