Jansson was dismissed in the 76th minute of the Championship game at the bet365 Stadium on Saturday afteroon for two bookable offences.
Former Leeds defender Warnock believes that the Sweden international central defender’s first yellow card was justified, but he is unsure about the second one, which was controversial.
Warnock said on the EFL show on Quest TV: “First one’s a yellow card. He steps out, mistimes the tackle, and it is a yellow card.
“When I first saw this one (the second yellow card incident), I did think he has either clipped his heel or something’s not quite right.
"And the more you look at it, you think it’s just a coming together and Afobe just took a heavy touch, so I think it’s the wrong decision. I don’t think it’s another yellow card.”
Jansson was probably unfortunate to have been sent off against Stoke, but there is nothing that Leeds can do about it now.
The West Yorkshire outfit will just have to move on and do the best they can without the Sweden international central defender for now.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side are at the top of the Championship table at the moment with 54 points from 28 matches, a point clear of second-placed Norwich City.
The Whites will return to action this coming Saturday when they take on Rotherham United away from home in the Championship.
