Celtic midfielder Scott Brown has taken to Instagram to express his delight at his side’s win against Airdrieonians at Celtic Park.

Brendan Rodgers’s team got the better of Airdrieonians 3-0 at Celtic Park in the fourth round of the Scottish Cup on Saturday evening

 

Brown started the match and played for 82 minutes, when he was substituted by fellow midfielder Nir Bitton.

The 27-year-old defensive midfielder was making his return from a long-term injury, and Celtic teammate Brown is happy for him, as suggested in his post on Instagram.

Brown has been linked with a move away from Celtic, with his contract at the Glasgow giants running out at the end of the season.

According to The Glasgow Evening Times, Australian club Western Melbourne are interested in securing the services of the 33-year-old former Scotland international midfielder.

Whatever happens in the summer of 2019, there is no doubt that Brown will have an important role to play for Brendan Rodgers’s side during the second half of the 2018-19 campaign.
