Joselu has struggled since joining Newcastle in the summer of 2017.

Italian outlet CalcioMercato have claimed that Chinese Super League side Tianjin Teda are looking to sign Newcastle United striker Joselu this month, and are in talks with The Toon over a move.
Joselu, 28, joined Newcastle from Stoke City in the summer of 2017 for a fee of just £4.8million (Chronicle), but has been a constant source of criticism for fans since his move.
The Spanish striker, who signed a three-year deal upon his move, has managed just seven goals in a season and a half – costing the club almost £700,000 per goal. He has played 49 times for Newcastle.
It is believed that Tianjin, who are managed by former Real Madrid player Ule Stielike, are in talks to sign Joselu with one of their four overseas spots up for grabs.

Joselu has a contract at Newcastle until the summer of 2020, but Rafa Benitez may be willing to sell the striker in order to bring in some much-needed funds to spent elsewhere.
The likes of Salomon Rondon and Ayoze Perez are above Joselu in the pecking order and that may make the Spanish ace slightly flexible in terms of a sale at St. James’ Park between now and January 31.
