Rondon, signed on loan from Championship club West Brom in the summer of 2018, has taken to Twitter to revel in the 3-0 win for Newcastle against Cardiff at St. James’ Park in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
The 29-year-old striker did not score for the Magpies, but the Venezuela international had a good game overall and played an important role in the victory.
According to WhoScored, the 29-year-old provided one assist, took four shots, had a pass accuracy of 76.7%, won four headers, and made one tackle and two substitute appearances.
The former Zenit Saint Petersburg striker has made 15 starts and two substitute appearances in the Premier League for Newcastle so far this season, scoring five goals and providing three assists in the process, according to WhoScored.
Newcastle fans have responded to Rondon’s post on Twitter and have praised him, which may be of interest to West Brom supporters.

Played a blinder today, didn't give them a moments peace. Unselfish centre forward's display, all the graft and none of the personal reward. Well played.— it's (@Jonny_Pigg) January 19, 2019
