Producer and music mogul DJ Khaled announced that he is set to appear in Bad Boys For Life, the third instalment in the Bad Boys movie franchise. This news comes less than a day after Will Smith and Martin Lawrence confirmed their roles in the movie which is set to be released in January 2020.

Khaled announced via Instagram, picture below, that he is “joining Will Smith and Martin Lawrence” in the cast of Bad Boys before going on to state “it’s only January 15th 2019. Ya’ll have no idea what’s coming. I’m coming for the Oscars!!”. His role within the movie has not yet been announced and his acting history is very few and far between, his most notable appearances before this role were in Pitch Perfect 3 and The After Party, in which he played himself.

The first two Bad Boys movies, which grossed over four hundred million dollars, were directed by Hollywood Legend, Michael Bay, however he is not involved in the upcoming movie. Belgian duo, Adil El Arbi and Billall Fallah, have been announced as the Directors for this movie and are also set to direct Beverley Hills Cop 4 – starring Eddie Murphy.

So far, very little is known about the upcoming Bad Boys movie. However, the cast seems to be coming along nicely (aside from DJ Khaled, Will Smith and Martin Lawrence) Vanessa Hudgens, Joe Pantoliano, Alexander Ludwig and Charles Melton are all set to appear in the latest instalment in the Bad Boys franchise. We wait with bated breath on the next update – and DJ Khaled’s Oscar.
