Slimani is struggling at Turkish side Fenerbahce, and Villa have been linked with a move.

Turkish outlet Ajansspor have claimed that Aston Villa are interested in signing Fenerbahce striker Islam Slimani before the end of the January transfer window.
The 30-year-old target man has struggled since moving to the SuperLig side in the summer from Leicester City, scoring just one league goal in 14 appearances.
Slimani’s form has mirrored Fener’s dismal league form, which sees them sit way down in 17th place – just one place above bottom having won only three games in 17 league games.
The Algeria international remains on loan at Fener until the end of the season but as the ex-Sporting Lisbon striker has failed to impress in Turkey, his loan could be cancelled and a move to Villa could be on the cards.

Slimani’s career has been on the downfall since moving to Leicester, where he managed only 13 goals in 46 games. Last season, he went on loan to Newcastle, but managed just four appearances.
He joined Leicester for a whopping fee of £29million (BBC Sport) but is a shadow of the player that scored 57 goals in 111 games for Sporting – but a move to Villa could help him reignite his career in the Championship.
