Leicester among Premier League clubs tracking Norwegian

HITC Sport understands a number of Premier League sides are tracking Norwegian midfielder Kristoffer Zachariassen.

Leicester City are among several Premier League clubs keeping tabs on highly-rated Sarpsborg midfielder Kristoffer Zachariassen, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.

Zachariassen has emerged on the radar of a number of clubs across Europe after catching the eye for Sarpsborg in the Europa League this season.

The powerful central midfielder helped Sarpsborg qualify for the Europa League group stages, scoring three goals in the competition this season, and his all-round performances have brought him to the attention of clubs in bigger European leagues.

Leicester have been keeping tabs on Zachariassen’s progress for some time, as they see his all-action style as being ideal for the Premier League.

The 24-year-old has established himself as a key member of the Sarpsborg side since joining in January 2017 and he is being tipped to break into the Norway squad in the near future.

Sarpsborg are aware of the growing interest in the goal-scoring midfielder and they are bracing themselves for offers from some top European sides for Zachariassen.
