Celtic have been linked with a move for Manchester United star.
Celtic have been linked with a move for Manchester United's Scott McTominay.
McTominay is said to have been made available for loan, The Scottish Sun report.
The young Scot is a bright prospect and was named player of the year by Red Devils' former boss Jose Mourinho.
This year was not so great, with Mourinho giving up on the young midfielder and throwing him to the wolves by picking him in central defence in a tough away game against West Ham.
All of this has affected McTominay's confidence, and The Scottish Sun say he is unsure about a move to Celtic due to the competition for places in midfield.
McTominay has Champions League experience and could be an asset to Celtic in the second half of the season.
One problem for Celtic is that this would just be a loan deal, and the club have become over reliant on these in recent campaigns.
Fans are not very enthused about the potential deal and do not think the 22-year-old is good enough.
Scott McTominay now being linked on loan. No thanks, not good enough in my opinion. Would rather give young Ewan Henderson the game time instead of that.— Stand Up For Celtic (@StandForCeltic) January 16, 2019

Good, let's keep it that way. McTominay should not be anywhere near the Celtic team. He belongs in the Love Island villa https://t.co/eXiAxjORYk

The Lad is Class but not another 4 month playing loan please. We need to create space before any more "ins". We're like Club Golfer who, every year, buys new clubs but doesn't get rid of old ones. Comes point no room in garage.— Mo (@50sEKBOY) January 16, 2019
If we sign Scott mctominay on a 6 month loan I give up. Thankfully the report is in a newspaper so it’s likely to be balls— Kevin McDowell (@DoireCelt) January 16, 2019
