West Ham United have allegedly failed with a bid for Krzysztof Piatek.

According to SportItalia’s Alfredo Pedulla, West Ham United have offered €35million (£31million) for Genoa striker Krzysztof Piatek – but it has been rejected.
The Hammers were already expected to be in the market for a striker this month, but that need is set to be exacerbated by Marko Arnautovic’s expected exit.
Arnautovic Is set to join Chinese Super League side Shanghai SIPG this week in a big-money move, according to The Sun, and the Austrian must be replaced.
A host of strikers have already been linked, but SportItalia’s Alfredo Pedulla claims West Ham have put £31million on the table for Genoa sensation Piatek.
However, Genoa have allegedly rejected the offer, and are looking for around €45million (£40million) in total, meaning the Hammers are £9million away from a deal.
Yet with AC Milan and Real Madrid also claimed to be interested, they will certainly have to move quickly if they are to land the Polish international as Arnautovic’s replacement.

Piatek would be a hugely exciting signing for West Ham, having hit 19 goals in 21 games for Genoa this season following a summer move from Cracovia in Poland.
The 23-year-old looks set to become a star, and signing him would be a major signal of intent, whilst showing fans that West Ham will still compete in a post-Arnautovic world…but they have work to do if they are to sign Piatek.
