Could Scottish Premiership leaders Celtic lose key midfielder Olivier Ntcham this month? Primeira Liga champions FC Porto are reportedly keen.
A transfer saga that dogged Celtic in the final few weeks of the summer window has reared its head again in January.
According to the Scottish Sun, Porto have renewed their interest in the Hoops’ French midfielder Olivier Ntcham, with manager Sergio Conceicao understood to be a huge fan.
It is claimed that the Primeira Liga champions are willing to offer £14 million while sending centre-back Chancel Mbemba in the opposite direction.
And Portuguese publication O Jogo has shed further light on the situation, claiming that Ntcham is ‘determined to leave’ the Scottish Premiership leaders midway through his second season at Parkhead.
Whether Celtic are willing to let him go remains to be seen. The former Manchester City youngster, who joined for £4 million in the summer of 2017, has played 30 games in all competitions this season even if his form has left a lot to be desired.
O Jogo, however, points out that Porto will wait until the summer if Celtic block Ntcham from moving to the Dragao before the end of this month.
Porto could do with reinforcements in midfield though after Riechedly Bazour departed for Utrecht.
