Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham Hotspur lost to Manchester United at the weekend.

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has highlighted Tottenham Hotspur’s weakness, as quoted in Football.London.

Pogba made the comments following United’s 1-0 win against Tottenham away from home at Wembley Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday evening.

Marcus Rashford scored the only goal of the game in London on the stroke of half time.

France international midfielder Pogba, who re-joined United from Juventus in the summer of 2016 for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £89 million, has pointed out Tottenham’s weakness, and how the Red Devils exploited it.

Football.London quotes Pogba as saying regarding his assist for Rashford’s goal: “It’s a great ball but we’ve been training on this.

“We knew that was the weakness of Tottenham when they are attacking down one side they get high. We needed to attack in the opposite side.

“We’ve been doing it in training and we were prepared on this and we knew it would be a very difficult game and we knew how to hurt them in this counter-attack.”

Bouncing back

Tottenham will be disappointed not to even take a point from the match against United given the number of chances they had.

The loss at the hands of the Red Devils has struck a blow to Spurs’ chances of winning the Premier League title this season.

Spurs will be looking to bounce back this coming Sunday when they take on London rivals Fulham away from home at Craven Cottage in the Premier League.
