Steven Gerrard has made no promises about the future of Rangers youngster Ryan Hardie.
The manager's latest comments indicate he is a big fan whether Rangers utilise him this season or not.
Rangers recalled Hardie from his loan at Livingston earlier this month and he has been working with the team in Tenerife.
Gerrard says he is enjoying working with Hardie, and feels it is a luxury to have him on board.
Gerrard told Rangers' official website: "Ryan Hardie has come into the picture so it has been nice to work with four quality forwards.
"We haven’t had that luxury and that’s been really nice and a big positive."
Gerrard will now give some serious thought to whether to keep Hardie for the rest of the season. It's clear he's tempted.
The reason he may not, is out of fairness to the young forward.
Hardie has five goals in seven games out on loan and he needs to play regularly.
If Rangers can't promise him regular football yet, then Gerrard may begrudgingly decide to let him go out on loan again.
