Everton went on to beat Bournemouth by two goals to nil, courtesy of Kurt Zouma and Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

It is currently unclear as to why Atakayi was present, although the fact it occurred during a transfer window is bound to set some tongues wagging.

The winger joined Rangers from FF Jaro in 2016 and took more than two years to make his first-team breakthrough against Motherwell at Ibrox.

He has not appeared since then due to injury, but vowed just last week that 'it won't be long until I return'.
