It seems that Christian Herc is unlikely to make his Premier League debut for Wolverhampton Wanderers any time soon.
The 20-year-old midfielder is currently on loan with Slovakian outfit Dunajska Streda, helping his side to second in the table after 18 games. He has impressed too, scoring three goals and setting up five more in all competitions.
But with Joao Moutinho, Ruben Neves, Leander Dendoncker, Morgan Gibbs-White and Romain Saiss already challenging for a place at the heart of Nuno Espirito Santo’s starting XI, Herc’s future appears to lie away from Molineux.
And, speaking to Sport.SK, Herc has admitted that he would jump at the chance to join one of the biggest clubs in Russian football.
"I heard about it (the speculation). I’m definitely looking forward to joining such a big club," said Herc, who has been on the books of Wolves since 2015.
Interestingly, Herc added that he would love to force his way into the Wolves’ side, claiming that playing Premier League football under Nuno would be the ‘ideal scenario’.
But with Wolves being linked with a number of big-name signings of late, joining Spartak could represent a fantastic opportunity for a talented midfielder with a big future.
