The prospect of playing Premier League football under Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool has clearly captured the imagination of Munas Dabbur.

We are more than halfway through the current Premier League season and Liverpool are seven points clear at the top. So signing a prolific centre-forward with a knack for winning domestic titles would not be a bad idea with glory in their sights.

Estadio Deportivo claimed last week that Liverpool were among a number of sides interested in the Red Bull Salzburg striker Munas Dabbur, who has also caught the eye of Fulham, Valencia and Sevilla.

But new reports from Tuttomercatoweb claim that Dabbur has one club in his sights. It is understood that he is desperate to sign for Liverpool and play under the charismatic Jurgen Klopp.

The Israel international is far from a household name but his scoring record in Austria is a joy to behold. He scored 29 goals in all competitions last season as Salzburg won their Bundesliga title and reached the semi-finals of the Europa League against all expectations.

Dabbur has maintained that remarkable form in 2018/19 too, netting 20 times in 30 matches in all competitions. And TMW report that he has an affordable £23 million release clause in his contract.

Interestingly, one of Liverpool’s current attackers also has links to Salzburg, Sadio Mane spending two seasons with the club before joining Southampton in 2014. And Fulham should perhaps look elsehwere with Dabbur making his future plans clear.
