Everton midfielder James McCarthy is reportedly on the radar of Celtic and West Ham United.

It has been reported that Everton will let McCarthy leave on loan until the end of the season.
The report has stated that Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic and West Ham are leading the race for the 28-year-old central midfielder – who earns £50,000 per week as salary, according to Spotrac.com.
Loan move to Celtic
Celtic do have enough quality midfielders, and it is going to be hard for McCarthy to establish himself in the Bhoys’ starting lineup.
Having been out injured for a year, what the Republic of Ireland international needs right now is regular playing time, and he is unlikely to get that at Celtic.

Previous interest
This is not the first time that Celtic have been linked with a move for Everton central midfielder McCarthy.
According to a report in Herald Scotland back in November 2016, Celtic were interested in signing the former Wigan Athletic star on loan from Everton in January 2017.
