Neville Southall has claimed that it's 'disrespectful' for Sky Sports to continually 'hassle' Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino regarding the Manchester United job.

The former Premier League goalkeeper took to his personal Twitter account prior to Spurs 1-0 defeat against Manchester United on Sunday afternoon to air his views on the matter.

Everton's home clash against Bournemouth was broadcast live on Sky Sports before United's trip to Wembley, but that didn't stop them from talking about Pochettino to United beforehand.

Marco Silva's side picked up all three points against the Cherries on Merseyside as United's interim boss Ole Gunnar Solskjær and his team took centre stage at Wembley against Spurs later on in the afternoon.

Jose Mourinho was sacked by United before Christmas and since then the talk of Pochettino taking charge of the Manchester club in the summer has not stopped, with Gary Neville telling Sky Sports that he would like the Argentine in the Old Trafford dugout.

Pochettino will be hoping to lift some silverware with the London club this season as they are currently in the semi-finals of the League Cup.

Spurs inflicted a morale-boosting 1-0 win over neighbours Chelsea in midweek as they will be looking to maintain that lead when the two side's meet for the reverse leg.
