Celtic signed the Ivorian for around £2 million earlier this week.
Celtic wrapped up a £2 million deal [The Scottish Sun] to sign the Ivorian hitman from Dunajska Streda this week.
The 22-year-old had been ripping up Slovakia's top flight this season, netting 18 goals from 23 games.
Impressively, nine of these goals were scored with his head [Transfermarkt] and Moravcik feels that a striker with such a skill set could be key for Brendan Rodgers's side.
The 53-year-old former Celtic and Slovakia star also played down the significance of Bayo being talismanic in an obscure league, claiming that goalscoring is a universal gift that he will continue in the Scottish Premiership.
He told the club's website: "Bayo’s ability and performances in Slovakia have been very good, he’s skilful and has proven he can score goals here, and I’m certain he can do the same in Scotland.
"If he can score goals in Slovakia, he can score goals anywhere in the world. A goalscorer is always a goalscorer
"He’s been a very important player for Dunajska Streda, he’s scored a lot of goals, and he’s got a lot of potential.
"Celtic are a team who often dominate games, they get a lot of set-pieces, so I think a player like Bayo, who can come in and affect that part of the game, will be very important for the club."
Bayo became Celtic's third signing of January, after Timothy Weah and Oliver Burke, though both of those are on loan.
He will compete with Weah and Odsonne Edouard for a spot as the Bhoys' first-choice striker, as will Leigh Griffiths when he gets back.
