Chelsea-owned Aston Villa striker Tammy Abraham is reportedly on the radar of Wolverhampton Wanderers.

According to The Express & Star, Wolverhampton Wanderers are still interested in signing Chelsea-owned Aston Villa striker Tammy Abraham in the January transfer window.

BBC Sport reported earlier this week that Abraham has turned down the chance to move to Wolves and will stay at Villa for the rest of the season.

The 21-year-old striker moved to the Villans on a season-long loan deal from Premier League club Chelsea in the summer transfer window.

The Express & Star has claimed that Wolves are still interested in securing the services of the England international this month.

An exercise in futility?

If Abraham wants to end the season at Villa, then Wolves should simply drop their interest in the Chelsea-owned striker.

After all, there is no point in signing a player who does not want to leave his current club.

Moreover, the 21-year-old does not have a great record in the Premier League, and Wolves will be better off looking for a proven goalscorer at the top level.
