Crystal Palace have agreed a deal to send highly-rated midfielder Nya Kirby on loan to League One Blackpool, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.

Kirby is on the fringes of the first-team at Palace and he is highly-regarded within the corridors of power at Selhurst Park.

The 18-year-old helped England win the Under-17 World Cup in 2017 and he has impressed for Palace's Under 18s and Under 23s since joining from Tottenham in the summer of 2016.

The skilful midfielder is yet to make his first-team debut for Palace, but was on the bench for the Carabao Cup tie at Middlesbrough earlier this season.

Palace feel Kirby would benefit from going out on loan to continue his development by playing regular first-team football for the second half of the season.

A number of clubs have expressed an interest in taking Kirby on loan, but Blackpool have been chasing the teenager for some time.

Blackpool boss Terry McPhillips is keen to bolster his midfield options and he sees Kirby as a valuable addition to his plans as he will add some creativity to his side.
