Nottingham Forest have just parted company with Aitor Karanka, and Gary Rowett is without a job after leaving Stoke City.

Neutral supporters have predicted that Gary Rowett is going to get the Nottingham Forest job.

Aitor Karanka stepped down from from his post at the City Ground earlier today, after speculation over his future had been rife since December.

Karanka guided Forest to the outskirts of the play offs, but it was not enough to stop the exit rumours.

And it seems that the Spaniard decided that the best course of action was to resign from his job at Forest.

The Reds are now on the look out for another new manager, as they aim to push into the top six.

And many football fans from Championship sides think Forest will go after Rowett.

Rowett has only recently left his post at Stoke City, after failing to live up to expectations at the BET365 Stadium.

Rowett has already managed Forest’s rival Derby County, as well as Burton Albion and Birmingham City.
