The Black Cats loanee will be heading back to Watford after his break clause was activated. Here is how some Sunderland fans reacted online.

Sunderland have announced that Jerome Sinclair's loan spell at the Stadium of Light has been cut short.
The 22-year-old forward joined the Black Cats on a season-long tenure from Watford back in July, and he featured sporadically for Jack Ross' side over the past few months.
According to Transfermarkt, Sinclair missed out a chunk of games in August and early September after featuring for 45 minutes in the League One season opener against Charlton Athletic.
He then enjoyed a decent run-out over the following two months, but since the 2-2 draw with Walsall, when he was named on the bench, he has played just 17 minutes in the league up until now.
With the January transfer window now open, the three parties - Sunderland, Watford and Sinclair - have decided to activate a break clause in the season-long deal, and will be heading back to Vicarage Road.
"Jerome has been a credit to himself and his club Watford in his time here," Ross told the Sunderland website on Thursday. "I cannot speak highly enough of him and how he has applied himself during his loan spell and as I club we have conveyed this to Watford."

Sinclair, valued by Transfermarkt at £1.35million, leaves Sunderland having made 18 appearances in all competitions, scoring twice and registering one assist.
Some Black Cats fans took to Twitter to echo the manager's sentiments about things just not having clicked for the forward - with one commenting on how the 2019 calendar is now outdated, given Sinclair's February slot:
Shame it didn’t really work out for him, all the best Jerome!

Shame really. He could definitely benefit going to league 2 and see if he can build his confidence

Thank god. Awful player who really has nothing to his game. Good luck to him.
