Celtic have been busy in the transfer market already - but there is a glaring need still to be addressed, right-back.

Mikael Lustig has been a weakness this season and needs competition.

A possible opportunity could present itself in Dutch international Timothy Fosu-Mensah.

Fosu-Mensah is a Manchester United player who is rated highly by fans at Old Trafford.

Jose Mourinho sent him out on loan at the beginning of the season to Fulham, but he has not been part of Claudio Ranieri's plans since he took over as manager.

The Times report Fosu-Mensah has asked United to cut short his loan at Fulham and find him a new club.

A move to a different league may suit Fosu-Mensah, with the chance to compete for Celtic in the Europa League surely an attractive option too.

Fosu-Mensah is a right-back, and can also play in central midfield.

The 21-year-old has youth and athleticism on his side and can provide a completely different option for Celtic in a position where they need one.

He has made 41 Premier League appearances and three international caps for the Netherlands.
