Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has now scored 20 goals this season for Mauricio Pochettino’s side.

Robbie Keane has told Sky Sports, during their live coverage of Tottenham Hotspur’s match against Chelsea, that he is sick of hearing Harry Kane being accused of being tired.

Kane scored for Tottenham again against Chelsea last night to take his goals tally to the season to 20.

The England captain fired home from the spot to give Spurs an advantage to take to Stamford Bridge in the second-leg of their League Cup tie.

And Keane feels that question marks over Kane now need to be ended, as his form for Spurs is so good.

Keane said: “I’m sick of people saying he’s tired. He keeps banging goals in.

“When you speak to him he gets annoyed a bit that people keep mentioning it. He keeps coming on the pitch and scoring goals. At this moment in time he’s the best number nine in the world.”

Tottenham’s win over Chelsea last night was particularly hard-fought, as Mauricio Pochettino’s side had to do a lot of defending.

Spurs’ passing game never really clicked, but they remained strong and ground out a victory at Wembley.

Tottenham will now progress to the final of the League Cup if they are able to avoid defeat at Stamford Bridge in just over two weeks’ time.

Spurs are next in action at the weekend when they take on Manchester United.
