Just weeks after his loan to Rangers was cancelled, Umar Sadiq has found a new temporary employer.
Sadiq failed to make a positive impression at Rangers, and was often criticised by the manager who brought him to Ibrox, Steven Gerrard.
But that has not put off another former footballing greats, and the current AC Perugia boss, Alessandro Nesta.
Posting on Twitter earlier this afternoon (Wednesday), Nesta's side confirmed Sadiq's arrival on a six-month loan from AS Roma.
Perugia currently occupy ninth position in Italy's second tier, and will hope that Sadiq can rediscover the form he showed at NAC Breda last season (five goals in 12 appearances) rather than that of his previous loan spell at Rangers (none in four).
Rangers have already moved to replace the Nigerian with Jermain Defoe, the former England international, on an 18-month deal from Bournemouth.
Was Sadiq unfairly treated at Rangers?
