Leeds United will not be bringing Steven Zuber to the Championship after all – the Hoffenheim midfielder has moved to Bundesliga rivals Stuttgart instead.

Leeds United do not have a particularly inspiring record in the January transfer record over recent seasons.
The West Yorkshire giants were well placed for fight for a place in the top six in each of the last two years. But they twice missed a chance to strengthen midway through the campaign, eventually ending well adrift of the play-offs.
And supporters will be fearing that history could be about to repeat itself.
After losing influential Spaniard Samu Saiz to Getafe, a creative midfielder would have been welcomed with open arms – but Steven Zuber is not on his way to Elland Road after all.

The Mirror reported that Leeds were keen to sign the all-action Swiss international from Hoffenheim despite his hefty £10.8 million price-tag. But, just 24 hours later, Zuber joined Bundesliga strugglers Stuttgart instead.
Cue more frustration from Leeds fans on the same day that Lewis Baker had his loan spell from Chelsea brought to an end.
Busy, energetic and blessed with an eye for goal, Zuber feels like another that has gotten away for a Leeds side who have lost their last three games and two of their midfield options.
