Chelsea fans react to Erik Lamela's cameo in Tottenham defeat

Fans arrive outside the stadium ahead of the Premier League match between Chelsea FC and Southampton FC at Stamford Bridge on January 2, 2019 in London, United Kingdom.

Lamela was a late sub in Tottenham Hotspur's semi-final first leg win.

Tottenham Hotspur's Erik Lamela was only on the pitch for 11 minutes against Chelsea on Tuesday, but it was long enough to rattle several of the Blues faithful.

The Argentine replaced Heung-min Son in the 79th minute of Tottenham's 1-0 win in the first leg of their League Cup semi-final tie with Chelsea.

It is fair to say the 26-year-old won't be a welcome guest when the two teams meet again at Stamford Bridge in little more than a fortnight's time.

This is what those of a Chelsea persuasion are saying on Twitter...

Sarri & Zola @SkidKidd: Lamela is a dirty *****

Bradders @pbbradders: Lamela - another dirty ******* - that’s a red ffs
