West Ham United are believed to be interested in signing a midfielder in January, with Manuel Pellegrini looking to strengthen his squad.
West Ham United fans are keen to see Manuel Pellegrini move for Phillip Billing from Huddersfield Town.
West Ham are thought to be on the look out for a central midfielder with Jonjo Shelvey and Tom Cairney both linked in recent times.
But West Ham fans believe that Billing could be a better option, and are keen to see him at the London Stadium.
Qualify player, Young mobile, just what we need next to Declan rice.— Jordan (@Whu_Kingy) January 7, 2019
Would suit the playstyle better than Shelvey, and would compliment Rice well. He’s young enough as well that he can improve.— James (@Terran__Warrior) January 6, 2019
Young lad and he could be our motor— Tim Kolk (@tim_kolk10) January 6, 2019

We’d probably be the tallest team in the league with him included! Diop, Andy, Arnie, Yarmo, Anderson all 6’3” or taller!!— IronsmanJP (@IronsManJP) January 7, 2019
Looks a decent player and would probably be able to show what he can do with better quality around him. Also not scared to shoot from distance which creates alot off chances for poachers around the goal with rebounds perfect for hernandez defo a better option than shelvey id say— Ryan Hayes (@rhyno547) January 7, 2019
He walks into our side, physical unit, reads the game well, tackles strongly & solid long shot!— Steven McCarthy (@StevenMcCarthy9) January 7, 2019
If he isn’t silly money, 20-25m or so he’d be a top target as he’s Young, lots of potential to improve & even sell on for good money, exactly the kind of player G&S should be after!
Billing has impressed in a Huddersfield shirt this season, and looks to have a very bright future.
If West Ham were to make a bid it seems unlikely that he would come cheap.
Huddersfield are locked in a relegation battle, and are unlikely to want to sell their best players, while in such a precarious position.
West Ham already have the likes of Declan Rice, Pedro Obiang, Jack Wilshere and Mark Noble who can play in central midfield, but Billing would add more power and presence to their ranks.
The Hammers are yet to make an addition in January, but are thought to have money to spend.
