As reported by Gamingbolt, Sony’s most anticipated exclusive, The Last Of Us Part 2, might actually be launching this year. While it’d be amazing if this was true, it’s admittedly hard to believe thanks to Sony and Naughty Dog having shown very little of the game besides a vague teaser trailer and an E3 2018 demo that was initially scruitinised for being scripted before director Neil Druckmann confirmed it was all real.
But, according to former IGN editor Alanah Pearce, we could all be set to the return to one of the most depressing post-apocalyptic wastelands populated by gangs of vicious d-bags that are way worse than any of the infected.
In a series of tweets that have since been deleted, Pearce claimed that The Last Of Us Part 2 was 100% confirmed for 2019. Having also said that a “difficult part of games media is remembering what you are and aren’t allowed to know, and when”, it's more than possible that she removed the tweets due to accidentally revealing classified information.
Screencaps of the tweets below can be found via Reddit. Although it’s not implausible for The Last Of Us Part 2 to be released this year, it’s definitely not coming out in March like an Amazon leak suggested back in December 2018.
