Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest reportedly want Silas Wamangituka.

According to Telefoot, Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest are interested in snapping up Paris FC striker Silas Wamangituka after he burst onto the scene this season.

Newcastle fans would certainly like a proven striker signed to support Salomon Rondon, whilst Forest may be eyeing more firepower to aid their push for play-offs in the Championship.

However, a teenage forward is now being linked with both clubs, as Paris FC hitman Wamangituka is believed to be wanted by both clubs.

Telefoot claim that Newcastle and Forest have both sent scouts to watch Wamangituka in recent weeks, but so have major European clubs like Fiorentina, Olympiakos and Schalke.

Wamangituka, 19, only joined Paris FC from Ales last year, but has burst onto the scene this season with four goals and one assist in his last six games.

The 6ft 2in Congolese forward is now being touted for a huge future, and is already well-built as something of a target man given his considerable frame.

A move this month would be a surprise, and Wamangituka may be better off staying and playing out the season in France’s second tier anyway, but summer moves from Forest and Newcastle could take place if he continues to impress.
