Clark Oduor made his debut for Leeds United during their FA Cup third round tie at the weekend.
Paudie O’Connor and Matty Downing were amongst those who sent messages to Leeds teammate Clarke Oduor on Twitter after the youngster made his senior debut for the Whites at the weekend.
Oduor has stood out amongst an incredibly successful under-23 side this season. So it was no surprise to see the wide-man given a chance amongst the first-team when Marcelo Bielsa decided to use 12 players who currently find themselves in or have come through the academy at Thorp Arch for Sunday’s trip to Queens Park Rangers.
Oduor was named on the bench at Loftus Road, but came on for the final few minutes as the Championship leaders were knocked out of the FA Cup by their second tier rivals.
Leeds may have lost, but it would not be a surprise if the game provides plenty of significance in the years to come given those who featured or were involved in Bielsa’s squad.
Oduor certainly looks destined for more first-team football in the not too distant future. And after he took to social media on Sunday evening, he received a couple of messages of support from two of his teammates.
O’Connor – who is currently on loan at Blackpool and played against Arsenal in the same competition on Saturday – and Downing both congratulated the winger on Twitter.
Here are the messages Oduor received from his teammates…
